After in-depth and careful research, business planning and development, we took over the running and ownership of a local café called Coffee Cups. This is near to our residential and support facilities and we have been developing the business into a 'community café'.
Coffee Cups can be contacted on 0121 550 1650.
Our team of staff at Coffee Cups has received training to become Information Champions and are now able to provide signposting to health, preventative wellbeing and social care services and can also help people to understand where to go for benefits or debt advice.
Set in the local community of Hasbury, Coffee Cups offers a warm welcome with a clean and modern feel. The coffee shop is just the place to take a break and enjoy some fresh home cooking. Car parking is available nearby and, with the expertise of our catering manager and her friendly team, you are sure to enjoy a well earned break.
By basing this café in the local community rather than as part of our residential environment it provides opportunities for people with learning disabilities to learn and develop skills in a real commercial working environment.
All food is freshly cooked and prepared daily on the premises and there are delicious home made soups and cakes as well as healthy and appetising meals including home made lasagne, shepherd pies and hearty ploughman's lunches.
The long term plan of this new social enterprise project is to plough profits from sales back into the café. This will allow people with a learning disability to enhance their employability skills and prove that people with a learning disability can contribute to society.
Monday to Friday: 9am - 3pm
Saturday 9am - 2pm
Coffee Cups is on the Thornhill Road, Hasbury, Halesowen and you can see it's location on a Google Map by clicking here.
