Halas Homes - caring for people with learning disabilities

Halas Homes started life as a specialist organisation for people with learning disabilities over fifty years ago. A group of local people, including parents of persons with learning disabilities, realised a vision to provide support for local children with learning disabilities.

Today, Halas Homes specialises in four distinct areas of expertise ranging from Respite Care, Residential Care, Day Activities
(The Meeting Place) and Supported Living. We are a well established locally recognised organisation which remains true to the original values and ethos of providing quality care for people with learning disabilities in Halesowen and the surrounding area.

We were delighted to receive the 3rd Sector Creative Arts Award in 2014. It is self evident that the arts create a safe environment where participants can learn, develop and increase confidence and self esteem.
